Overview[edit]

On race day, there are a few processes and procedures we need to run through prior to the race starts to ensure everything runs smooth for the race. Whoever is assigned to race day procedures must make sure all of these procedures are completed prior to the session opening.

Procedures[edit]

Assigning Numbers in iRacing[edit]

Using the Entry List that was created for the race that week, you can then go into iRacing and assign Drivers the number for the series.

  1. Open iRacing Application and select My Leagues.
  2. Select Series that you will be assigning numbers in which will open a new window.
  3. Select Roster which will show all accepted members in that series (To accept members into the league click applications and any pending applications can be accepted or rejected).
  4. Click on the Preferred Number Column which will sort all members by lowest to highest racing numbers assigned.
  5. Go down the entry list and compare numbers to what is assigned in iRacing. Change as needed.
  6. Assign any driver that is not on the entry list a number greater than 100 (This will make it noticeable for Race Control during practice).
  7. All open drivers will be assigned the open number that was registered and then re-enter their name in the "Nickname" Column followed by an * (ex. Garth Griswold*).

Once complete, go back through and double check to ensure all numbers are assigned and correct.

NOTE: In the event a newly accepted driver is accepted and enters the session prior to being assigned a number. iRacing will automatically assign them a number which could overlap and assigned number for a driver not yet in the session.

Verify iRacing Session[edit]

Prior to the session opening, we must make sure it is configured properly. If a session is misconfigured and it begins, the only way to fix it is by creating a new session. To review the session, follow the following steps:

  1. Log into iRacing and navigate to League Sessions and click on the upcoming session (Leagues > Up Next > Top Session).
  2. Scroll down on the pop-up window to the Session Details pane and confirm the following details:
    • Session description contains stages and laps (45/90/147)
    • Server = US-East-OH
    • Start Time = Today's Date at 7:15 PM (Cup) / 7:30 PM (All other series)
    • Admins contains all league admins.
